Gingerbread House Party

On Friday, December 7th, SCC hosted a Gingerbread House Party at the Lions Club. We had a lot of fun, made a huge mess, and the kids ate more candy than what went onto their houses…it was great! Thank you to all those who came to help!

Don’t miss our Christmas Eve Candlelight Service at the Lion’s Club on December 24th at 6:00 pm.

New Location!

Shore Community Church has been gathering in a home in Berlin since September 4th. So far in 2012, we have averaged more than 20 people a week which makes for a packed house when you are in fact, in a house. We have been looking at facilities since October to try to find a place to meet. We’ve learned about building code limitations and zoning laws not allowing for churches to use commercial areas. Although our original plan was to remain in Berlin, town code will only allow churches to meet in areas zoned residential with 2 acres of land. Since finding something like this is a practical impossibility, we decided to begin to look outside of Berlin.

Finally, after more than 15 “closed doors”, we have found a local organization willing to partner with us. On March 28th, we signed a lease with the Ocean City Lions Club to meet in their facility for the forseeable future. We are thrilled to form this partnership with the Lions since they do so much in our community, and with people who have sight-related problems worldwide. Even though we will now be meeting in West Ocean City, we are pleased to be one of only a few churches in that community. We are excited to see how God will use SCC in the days ahead!

Thank you to all of those who have prayed for SCC over these last 6 months. We have been honored by the prayer support of so many local pastors and churches, especially those related to BAMU (Berlin Area Ministries United). Friends and family, literally, across the world have prayed for us, and we are eternally grateful. Please continue to pray for us so we might persevere in God’s mission for his glory.

Also, if you aren’t currently attending a church, come and join us on Easter Sunday, April 8th 2012 at 10:00 am! You can find us by turning off of Route 611 onto airport road. The Lion’s Club is on the right after a few hundred feet.
